The horror genre is a staple across many media platforms and mobile phones are no exception. However, where do you start? There are thousands of great horror-themed games out there and these are just some that I can personally recommend. Most of these games are available on the iOS and Android systems apart from one.

#5 Sinister Edge

If you’re in need of a quick VR scare, the Sinister Edge would be a perfect addition to your game drawer. You can explore the haunted house setting with either normal mobile phone controls or VR. There are also puzzles in the game if the thought of being chased by an unknown entity won’t keep you occupied enough.

#4 Mysterious Forum and 7 Rumors (Visual Novel)

This new horror visual novel is already making waves in the mobile gaming market. It’s a choice based game with classic visual novel elements. It’s similar to chat fiction games with a moving story line and anime based graphics. Definitely worth downloading if you’re interested in visual novels. [Only available for Android users]

#3 Last Day On Earth: Survival

This game is survival horror at it’s finest for mobile gaming. Your goal is to survive a zombie-infested world while also playing against other survivors. It’s the perfect game to pass time, with endless hours of scavenging and hunting for survival.

#2 The Walking Dead TellTale Series

The Walking Dead TellTale series is a staple. If you love zombies and a riveting emotional story, this is the perfect one. For the Walking Dead series, every decision matters. You make a wrong one and it’ll affect the story across the series. This is absolutely a must to play, don’t miss out.

#1 Five Nights At Freddy’s

The premise of sitting somewhere and just keeping an eye out for living robots is creepy enough. Until you add jumpscares. Each game has deep a lore and story to keep you occupied if you’re not scared already.

Do you have any recommendations? If we missed something, sound off below, we’d love to hear about it!
