Qualcomm, during their annual summit, partially unveiled their New Snapdragon 845 chipset in collaboration with Microsoft, through a quick tease during the day’s presentation.
However, that does not mean that the announcement came unexpected. After all, the 835 already ran its course. Specifically, it acted as one of the vital internal components of 2017’s high-end Android phones. The 845 most likely would not change the game much in terms of performance, though. Most critics expect a 10 to 20 percent boost in CPU specs, and a quarter percent bump in GPU. It appears that Qualcomm will double down on the support of wide-gamut OLED displays and AI technology.
One of the earliest adopters of the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 is the Xiaomi Mi 7. This announcement came directly from Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun during the summit itself.
