Thanks to Qualcomm, we now get a glimpse at what the processors of 2018’s midrangers might be, with leaks regarding the Snapdragon 670, 640, and the 460.
These details first appeared during the Snapdragon Technology Summit where the brand showed off the Snapdragon 845. From what we know, this information first appeared on Weibo. First, the Snapdragon 670 will replace 2017’s 660. Furthermore, it builds upon 10nm architecture for better power efficiency. Lastly, this variant will feature 8 cores. Namely, these include four 2GhZ Kryo 360 cores and four 1.6 GHz Kryo 385 cores.
On the other hand, the Snapdragon 640 will work with two 2.15GHz Kryo 360 cores, and six cores running at 1.55GHz. Lastly, the most budget friendly of the trio, the 460, runs on older 14nm architecture. However, it will maximize this old system with eight Kryo 360 cores. The only downside here involves the loss of a system cache for the memory.
