The reveal of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 helped clarify the smartphone roadmap of 2018, especially with possible flagship devices.
The 845 seems perfect for a flagship thanks to its increased processing speed, and better battery life capabilities. Additionally, it will feature significant improvements for cameras and support for gigabit LTE. On that note, Weibo compiled a list for all the phones that we know will tout the Snapdragon 845.
Of course, this is still subject to change, but it should help us get ready for what’s coming in 2018:
- February – Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+, LG G7/G7+
- April – Xiaomi Mi 7
- May – HTC U12
- June – OnePlus 6, Sony Xperia XZ Pro, ZTE Nubia Z18
- August – Nokia 10
- September – Samsung Galaxy Note 9, LG V40, Xiaomi Mi MIX 3
- October – Google Pixel 3/3 XL, Sony Xperia XZ2, HTC U12+, ZTE Nubia Z18S
- November – Moto Z (2019)
- December – OnePlus 6T, Samsung W2019
Some of these already garnered rumors and speculation, particularly the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 lineup. Additionally, other reports earlier this year pointed to LG teaming up with Qualcomm for the chipsets. Everything else, however, might just be a guess or purely hearsay. Regardless, this still feels like a solid list. Though it may likely change as the months roll by, at least consumers already get to think about what kind of phones they want for the coming year.
