Qualcomm Inc. announced that soon, they will introduce two new mobile platforms, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 and 630. These platforms carry a design focused on delivering advanced photography and enhanced gaming.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 and 435 octacore and 425 quad core processors
Additionally, the 660 and 630 aim for longer battery life and faster LTE speeds. As espoused by Qualcomm Technologies’ VP for Product Management, Kedar Kondap:
“With the introduction of the Snapdragon 660 and 630 Mobile Platforms, we are thrilled that features such as improved image quality and fast LTE speeds will now be available in a wide array of devices without sacrificing performance or quality.”
Overall the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 and 630 focuses on seven features:
- Camera
- Audio Procesing
- Visual Processing
- Connectivity
- Improved CPU
- Improved GPU
- Qualcomm Quick Charge 4
Overall, we still need to see if the 660 and 630 will keep their promises. But on paper, Qualcomm clearly goes straight for improving specs and offering a more solid smartphone experience.
