Despite rumors that LG planned on rebranding their G series of flagship devices, LG recently confirmed that they will restart the development of the LG G7.
This news comes at a time where numerous leaks and renders pointed towards the G7 arrivng this 2018. However, the vice chairman of LG himself ordered the mobile division to scrap all G7 development. Apparently, this decision formed after the company could not determine a strong selling point for the G7.
Overall, this changes a lot of things about LG, especially after the V30’s relative success. Many saw the G7 as a possible point of improvement over the G6, especially with the V30’s influence. Now, who knows what the future may bring for LG’s mobile division.
