The unveiling of the Huawei P20 Pro with three dual rear cameras is definitely a start of another trend for the smartphone market, and LG is reported to follow suit soon as reports say that the upcoming LG V40 will have a total of five cameras — three on the rear and two on the front.
The LG V40 is reported to have three cameras comprised of one standard wide angle lens, an ultrawide lens, and the other one still unnamed.
Similar to newer smartphone models, the LG V40 will have a notched design, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 under the hood. Other leaked features include the LG Quad DAC function, and a rear fingerprint sensor, suggesting that LG isn’t ready yet to join the hype of on-screen fingerprint unlocking.
The LG V40 is also said to have 3D depth technology to amplify the smartphone’s face unlocking technology.
The LG V40S predecessor, the LG V30 was announced during IFA in August last year so it’s safe to expect that the LG V40 will be announced around the same month this year.
