The Mi Mix series paved the way for full screen displays and has earned praises from both the art and technology community with the release of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. Initially introduced at the Palace Museum two weeks ago, the Mi Mix 3 made its way to Philippine shores and is ready to take the smartphone market by storm.
Since the launch of the Mi Mix concept phone in 2016, Xiaomi has taken pride in being the first brand to achieve almost bezel-less full screen displays. The Mi Mix 3 features a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a magnetic slider which contains the 24MP+2MP dual selfie camera. Other notable highlights include the unique ceramic back panel which is both stylish and durable, a whopping 10GB RAM, and the 12MP+12MP dual rear camera that can shoot in 4K and 960fps slow-motion video capture.
The Mi Mix 3 achieved a DxOMark photo score of 108, which is even higher than previous releases in the series such as the Mi Mix 2. It also has a steady handheld night photography mode that can capture images with a more dynamic color range, a 4-axis OIS, AI enhancements suchs as light metering, image stabilization and calibration. In addition to these mobile photography features, its secondary 2M front camera sensor helps in creating an AI bokeh effect that can be used for portraits or live video.
Xiaomi continues to prove their penchant for advancing technology through creativity and innovation. The company aims to exceed its previous goals of selling over 100 million units throughout the year. Counterpoint has already reported in its research, Xiaomi has maintained impressive growth rates of up to 25% during the third quarter of 2018, outdoing top competitors in the global market.
