Firs in line is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10, the base model in the range. It boasts an AMOLED display, Snapdragon 678 processor, quad rear cameras, and a large battery.
Here we take a closer look at the Redmi Note 10 and what this phone has to offer to Filipino consumers. Read on to know more.
Design & Construction
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 flaunts a slim body at 8.29mm thickness. It has tapered sides and a tall frame that helps maintain its sexy built. This phone is made of mostly plastic, but the metallic frame, Corning Gorilla Glass in front, and glossy finish at the rear part elevate its overall look.
You’ll find a rounded rectangular module protruding at the upper-left corner of the back cover. It houses four lenses and an LED flash. The triple card tray slot is on the left side. Meanwhile, the volume rocker and power/lock key (which also acts as the fingerprint scanner) are on the right side. The top side features a loudspeaker, secondary microphone, and an IR blaster. The bottom houses a 3.5mm audio jack, main mic, another loudspeaker, and the main USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers.
Users can choose from three different colorways–Onyx Gray, Pebble White, and Lake Green.
Display & Multimedia
The 6.43-inch AMOLED DotDisplay arrives with Full HD+ resolution (2400 x 1080) and 409ppi pixel density. Slim bezels on the top and sides and a slightly thick chin at the bottom flock the large screen. A tiny punch hole for the front camera at the center-top interrupt the display.
This phone also comes equipped with dual speakers–one placed at the top and one at the bottom. It promises Hi-Res audio, perfect for audiophiles.
Camera
A 48-megapixel sensor with f/1.79 aperture headlines the quad-rear camera. It is joined by an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens, a 2MP f/2.4 macro shooter, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. The main camera system also comes with an AF sensor and LED flash.
The front camera uses a 13-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 aperture for clearer selfies.
Performance
The Redmi Note 10 comes powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 processor and Adreno 612 GPU. It has 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Plus, it comes with either 64GB or 128GB internal storage, both still expandable via microSD. It runs MIUI 12, based on Android 11, out of the box.
A 5000mAh battery power this phone. It has 33W fast-charging capabilities, too. The fingerprint scanner is located at the side for easy access and phone unlocking. There’s also a Face Unlock feature, adding to the security features of this device.
