Shortly after the launch of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, the Honor Magic 2 breaks new ground with its two triple camera setting and the latest Kirin 980 chipset. Honor’s new flagship phone features a slider, an under-display fingerprint scanner, and fast 40W charging.
The Magic 2 has a 6.4” Full HD+ OLED display and like its top competitor, the Mi Mix 3, Magic 2 takes pride in its absence of a notch due to a slider that holds the 16MP+2MP+2MP triple front camera that includes an IR Face Scanner for 3D face unlock. Its triple rear camera has an interesting set up: with the main lens at 16MP, a 24MP Black & White monochrome sensor, and a 16MP ultra wide-angle lens.
Honor’s Magic Charge, that’s incorporated into the device, boasts the ability to charger 50% of the 3,400mAh power cell in 15 minute and reach 85% in the succeeding 45 minutes. The device uses a USB-C port for charging and audio as there is no 3.5mm earphone jack. The Magic 2 also features Yoyo, a virtual assistant with machine learning capabilities.
The Honor Magic 2 is currently available at major Chinese retailers and comes in three colors: Blue, Red, and Black.
