Set in one of China’s most important historic landmarks, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 debuts as the company’s newest flagship phone. Xiaomi officially unveiled the Mi Mix 3 earlier today at the Palace Museum, showcasing its key features which includes a unique ceramic back panel that comes in three different colors. The new Sapphire Blue version is heavily inspired by the Palace Museum’s ceramic collections.
Affirming what previous rumors and leaks have already stated, the Mi Mix 3’s pop-up mechanism consists of a magnetic slider that’s been tested to last 300,000 cycles. The slider has fully customizable functions aside from containing the cameras and the phone’s antenna. You can use the slider to answer calls, access screen capture or hide notifications during gaming sessions.
The Mi Mix 3 dons a 6.39-inch near bezel-less AMOLED display with a screen-to-body ratio reaching 93.4%. As for cameras, it derives the same sensors from the Mi 8 and uses a 12MP+12MP dual rear camera with various shooting modes and AI enhancements. The Mi Mix 3’s rear cameras are refined to take photos even in low-light conditions. Meanwhile, it’s front camera also uses two lenses: 24MP+12MP. It uses a Sony IMX576 sensor that can capture images in vivid detail.
Among its notable features is the dedicated AI button that can only be found in the Mi Mix 3. This customizable hotkey can be programmed to perform different functions or access the AI voice assistant that can understand at least 7 Chinese dialects.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will be available in four different variants: the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant will retail for RMB 3,299 (Php 25,500), the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage for RMB 3,599 (Php 27,800), the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage for RMB 3,999 (Php 30,900), and the 10GB RAM + 256GB storage Palace Museum Edition for RMB 4,999 (Php 38,700).
