Samsung Philippines launches the Galaxy Note 7
In what seems to be a move to combat the rising rumors surrounding the next Note, Samsung confirms that the next Galaxy Note will be the Note 7, jumping from the current model, the Galaxy Note 5.
With the advent of the Galaxy Note 7’s first official launch event on August 2 at New York City, the Korean company took the time to explain why they didn’t go with the name Galaxy Note 6. According to Samsung, it was the result of the added functionality of the S Pen, combined with the larger screen, and its intent to be a complement to the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. It definitely made more sense to attach 7 to the new Note in order to unify the Samsung product lineup.
When it comes to what the Note 7 will be equipped with, rumors currently state that the Note 7 will sport a 5.7-inch screen size, an S7 edge-style curved display, a 12-megapixel camera as the GS7 and water-resistant features. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for more official details of the upcoming product.
