Samsung has just launched the newest member of the Galaxy Note family, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. “The Intelligent Smartphone That Thinks Big” is a huge jump from the previous model, the Note 5, featuring advanced S Pen capabilities, water resistant body and top-notch security.
First, the Galaxy Note 7 is the debut of Samsung’s Iris Scanner, which is a step up from the usual fingerprint sensor. This is a huge bonus to smartphone fans who want more security. Add to that the Secure Folder feature, and the Note 7 may be the most secure Samsung phablet to date.
The Galaxy Note 7 also features a water resistant (IP68) body and S-Pen, meaning that users can still write and draw using the stylus even when the screen is wet. The Galaxy Note 7 is also Samsung’s first smartphone with HDR video capabilities, making the Note 7 an entertainment beast.
Speaking of the surface build, the Note 7 comes protected with a Gorilla Glass 5 and 7000 series Aluminum, an improvement that’s leagues above the previous Note 5 which had Gorilla Glass 4 and 6000 series Aluminum. Moreover, the Galaxy Note 7 also comes with USB Type-C connectivity and 17% bigger battery capacity at 3,500 mAh.
Pre-order for the Galaxy Note 7 starts on August 6 until August 15 in all Samsung Experience Stores and select Abensons and SM Appliance branches. Each pre-order of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 comes with a free Samsung Gear VR.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be offered in Gold Platinum and Black Onyx, and will be hitting the stores starting August 20 with a retail price of Php 39,990. Be sure to visit your local Samsung Experience store for more information.
