MediaTek unveils the latest addition to its Helio G Series family: the Helio G95. Designed for premium 4G gaming smartphones, the Helio G95 features enhanced MediaTek HyperEngine game technology, multi-camera support, cutting-edge connectivity, and AI Super Resolution for video streams.
Helio G95 for gaming
The MediaTek Helio G95 can support up to four cameras, with up to 64MP resolution. It also enables depth engines for real-time portrait bokeh, AI-FD (Fast & precise AI face detection engine), MFNR, Warping, 3DNR, as well as video encoding and decoding at 4K 30fps. The chip also has a built-in AI processing unit (APU) and provides dual wake-up word support. There’s also support for HDR10 standard display, which can be further enhanced to approach HDR10+ quality.
The Helio G95 incorporates a pair of powerful ARM Cortex-A76 CPUs, operating up to 2.05GHz. Additionally, it has six Cortex-A55 power-efficient CPUs with up to 900MHz upgraded ARM Mali-G76 MC4.
This gaming-focused chip comes equipped with ultra-low power, always-on digital signal processing (DSP). It supports dual wake-up word detection for seamless communication between two parallel Voice Wakeup (VoW) functions. The DSP also minimizes the power consumption of applications such as the always-on Google Assistant. Moreover, it allows for multiple keyword triggers and virtual assistants.
Meanwhile, the enhanced MediaTek HyperEngine game technology features networking, rapid response, picture quality, and resource management engines for seamless gameplay and highly responsive user experience. When the Wi-Fi signal is weak, the technology intelligently triggers Wi-Fi & LTE concurrency. This ensures a smooth and lag-free connection during games and enables the option to defer calls while in-game without a drop in connection. Moreover, it ensures intelligent and dynamic management of the CPU, GPU, and memory.
MediaTek’s new chip offers an AI Super Resolution display for superior video calling and video streaming. It can support video qualities ranging from 360p to 720p HD resolution in real-time. Plus, it features FHD+ 90fps displays for fast responsiveness and smooth experience.
