With the Realme 7 Series officially launched in the Philippines, it’s time to take a closer look at the new Realme devices. Let’s start with the Realme 7, the base model in the midrange duo.

realme 7 series

The Realme 7 offers a massive battery capacity, quad-camera setup at the rear, and a host of other features. This device is also the world’s first smartphone with a MediaTek Helio G95 processor. The Realme 7 retails for P14,990 for the 8GB+128GB configuration. It is available in Realme stores nationwide and through Lazada.

Design & Construction

Inspired by the mirror space in nature, the Realme 7 flaunts a gorgeous reflective design called “Mirror Design” on its rear. The brand used AG processing with classic CD textures to make the phone look more premium. The back design is only interrupted by the rear camera setup and minimal Realme branding–all located on the left side. Users can get the Realme 7 in two colorways: the professional-looking Mist Blue and the classic style Mist White.

The Realme 7, along with the 7 Pro, is one of the firsts smartphones in the world to receive the TÜV Rheinland Smartphone Reliability Verification. The TÜV Rheinland Smartphone Reliability Verification contains 22 major tests and 38 minor tests. The major tests include 12 daily-use scenarios, four components reliability, and six extreme environments.

This phone also offers a three-card slot. It has two trays for SIM cards and a dedicated tray for the microSD.

Display & Multimedia

Greeting you in front of the phone is a huge 6.5-inch Fullscreen IPS display. The screen offers Full HD+ (2400 x 1080) resolution, 405ppi pixel density, and a 90Hz refresh rate. The massive screen real estate has a screen-to-body ratio of 90.5%. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

Camera

Leading the rear camera setup of the Realme 7 is a 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 sensor. It has incredible light-sensing ability and support for Quad Bayer. The other cameras in the system are an 8MP 119-degrees Ultra Wide-angle lens, a B&W lens, and a 4cm macro lens.

In front is a 16MP shooter, taking care of your self and group portraits. It uses a Sony IMX 471 sensor and has f/2.1 aperture.

Camera software features include the Starry Mode, which allows users to capture the glorious night sky. There are also built-in night filters to improve your low-light shots.

Realme also added fun video features to this device. There’s the UIS & UIS Max video stabilization, Ultra Wide video, Real-time Bokeh Effect video, Slo-mo, and 4K UHD.

Performance

Under the Realme 7’s hood is the world’s first MediaTek Helio G95 gaming processor, which scored ~300,000 on AnTutu Benchmark. Using a mix of the latest ARM Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55, the octa-core Helio G95 clocks speed up to 2.05GHz. The Helio G95 also comes equipped with carbon fiber cooling systems. Paired with the processor is the latest ARM Mali-G76 GPU with up to 900MHz speed. The solid internals makes this Realme device one of the most powerful in terms of gaming and entertainment at its price point.

The Realme 7 also arrives with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 internal storage. The latter can be further expanded via microSD up to 256GB. The phone runs on Realme UI based on Android 10.

Additionally, this new smartphone packs a 5000mAh battery, which comes with a 30W Dart Charge fast-charging support. This functionality enables the smartphone to charge from 0% to 50% in just 26 minutes. The battery can last up to one month on Standby mode.
