LG confirms LG G5 launch on February 21

Not to be outdone by its South Korean rival, LG has posted a couple of teasers on Facebook and Twitter confirming their plans of launching their latest flagship smartphone, the LG G5, on February 21.

The company’s chosen date coincides with the upcoming Mobile World Congress which will take place on February 22 in Barcelona, Spain. Whether planned or by accident, the date of the LG G5 launch also concurs with the unveiling of the new Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.

Unlike’s Samsung’s upcoming smartphones, little is known about the LG G5 at the time of writing which is a clear sign that LG has managed to keep the details of their new hero device under wraps. But then again, February 21 is still ways away, so press render leaks and rumored specifications are to be expected as we inch closer to the launch date.
