Samsung’s DJ Koh took some time at CES 2018 to announce that their next flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S9, will officially debut at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018.
First revealed to ZDNet, Koh did not mention any specific date, but specifically pointed towards the MWC 2018 event. Thus, expect the S9 to show up between February 26 to March 1. Presumably, the Galaxy S9 will also come with the S9 Plus, much like its predecessors. For now, though, no official details came out, but don’t expect much of a departure from the S8. Leak-wise, it seems that the device will look identical to its predecessor, with the rear fingerprint sensor moving to the space below the camera.
Koh also reminded the press that Samsung still plans to launch a foldable phone for 2018. In terms of functionality, nothing too clear has come out. The best course of action? Just wait and see.
