The long wait for the LG G5 is finally over as the local arm of the South Korean tech giant formally debuts its current flagship smartphone in the Philippines.
A successor to the highly-acclaimed LG G4, the LG G5 is a new innovative smartphone that has all the bells and whistles to make a big splash in the smartphone industry. It made its official debut back in February in front of hundreds of tech enthusiasts who attended this year’s Mobile World Congress.
What really stands out with the LG G5 is its modular design which allows after-market accessories like the LG Cam Plus and LG Hi-Fi Plus to be directly attached to the smartphone and further expand its capabilities in the process.
In terms of its specs, the LG G5 is outfitted with components befitting of a flagship smartphone. It runs on a Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 530 GPU that handles the graphics workload.
The display of the LG G5 is relatively smaller compared to its precursor, albeit has the same Quad-HD resolution that equates to higher pixel density of 534ppi and is protected by a sheet of Gorilla Glass 4.
The LG G5 is now available for pre-order for Php34,990. Early adopters who will sign-up for pre-order will be rewarded with extra perks worth Php4,500 which include an LG CAM Plus, LG G5 Quick Cover, and an additional 1-year warranty on top of the handset’s default limited warranty coverage.
