Facebook makes another foray into the gaming market with Facebook Instant Games. This acts as an initiative that lets Facebook users play games on Messenger and in their News Feed, without the need for downloads.
These Instant Games run on an HTML5 base and are cross-platform. This means you can play them either on your browser, or on your phone. Facebook Instant games represents the first time Facebook took their pick-up-and-play games seriously for the platform. But obviously, Facebook and gaming have had a long history together, especially with hits like Farmville, the launch of Gameroom, and Facebook Live integrating with Blizzard games.
To access this feature, Messenger will have a controller icon in the main menu that will show users the playable titles. Meanwhile, the main Facebook app keeps track via a dedicated bookmark.
