Facebook has announced that it will be launching a new logo for its activities, as per a press release.
Don’t worry — this is not for the social media app but for unifying many of its different apps and services under one umbrella. The logo will also identify itself as a wordmark they will use for corporate activities and undertakings.
By designing a new corporate app, the company hopes that they can use it to separate the app from the corporate side of things. Not to mention, the app also aims to further bridge its diversified platforms into one corporate branding.
This way, according to them, enables the user to identify what platforms are they using, which companies make the products they use. “This is the next step in our effort to be clearer about the products and services from Facebook,” their press release said.
The brand change is also a way to express their ownership structure to people and businesses who use our services to build audiences.
Over the coming weeks, Facebook will roll out the wordmarks on apps that bear the words ‘From Facebook’. The company will also launch its own corporate page as a result of this rebranding.
