July 26, 2017 marks a significant moment in Xiaomi history. On this day, three new Mi products emerge from the growing Chinese company.
A Faster OS
The MIUI 9 improves upon its previous iteration by offering new features and upgrading old ones. This includes faster processing speed, quicker app launch times, dynamic resource allocation, and less lag. However, that’s not all it offers.
The Image Search function is a powerful new search feature added to the MIUI 9 to bring you greater convenience. With the MIUI Image Search, the engine can now sift through your stored images based on keywords, document types, and even in-image text! However, if you want more significant additions, the 9 also adds a simple smart assistant and a smart app launcher.
The only downside to this exists in its unavailable status outside of the Chinese market. However, rest assured as Xiaomi promises a global MIUI 9 rollout.
A Dual-Camera Phone
Though not as impressive due to other competitors, the Mi 5X still sounds like a great phone thanks to its dual-camera setup. In addition, the MIUI 9 OS mentioned earlier will debut on this particular device. With the combination of an advanced OS and strong cameras, the Mi 5x promises image precision and pre-loaded editing functions.
Notable other specs include a 5.5-inch display, an octa-core processor, 4GB RAM, and a 3,080 mAh battery.
An all-in-one Control Center
Although initially presented as a quality speaker for a home setup, the Mi AI Speaker also acts as a great personal assistant. In simple terms, it offers plug-ins and functions that include weather/traffic queries, home appliance control, alarm setting, note-taking, and music playback.
