For me Samsung is not known for stylish designs when it comes to their notebooks. Let’s just say that other brands have more time to work on their designs. However, I recently came across with the Samsung QX410 and this beautiful piece of machine really caught my attention.
The 14-inch Samsung QX410 is possibly their most gorgeous-looking laptop. Well for me at least. It has a sleek, polished aluminum that I think is somehow inspired by the MacBook. Even the black chiclet-style keyboard and the huge touchpad reminds me of the popular notebook with a fruit on its lid. Anyway, it’s still beautiful.
The QX410 also has a curved edge giving it the illusion of a slim profile. Even the Li-Polymer battery is kept hidden on the underside. It doesn’t allow you to easily change the battery but how many people does that anyway?
When it comes to power, the Samsung QX410 is no slouch either. It packs an Intel Core i5-560M processor (2.66GHz with Turbo Boost), 1GB nVIDIA GeForce 310M switchable graphics, 4GB DDR3 memory and 500GB SATA hard drive. Its 6-cell Li-Polymer battery is expected to give around 6 hours battery life and being Li-Polymer, it only needs around 3 hours to fully-charge. The only thing missing would probably be a backlit keyboard and USB 3.0 support.
The Samsung QX410 has a retail price of Php59,900 (reasonable price for its features) and can be bought on a 0% interest for 12 months plan. It comes with a standard 1-year Carry-in Regional Limited Warranty inclusive of parts and labor.
