LG isn’t really new to making Windows Phones, but it has been a long time since it actually made one. This week, the Korean tech giant took the wraps off the Lancet, a 4.5-inch device that runs on the latest Windows 8.1 Phone OS. Given its price point, the hardware are pretty much what we would see on any other recent entry-level handset — it’s sporting a Snapdragon 410 chipset, an expandable 8GB internal storage, and an eight-megapixel rear camera in tow.
LG Lancet specs
- 4.5-inch FWVGA display, 854 x 480, 218ppi
- 1.2GHZ Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 chipset
- no RAM information
- 8GB internal storage
- expandable via microSD card
- 8MP rear camera with LED Flash
- VGA front camera
- CDMA
- WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS
- Windows Phone 8.1
- 2100mAh battery
The only downside so far? It only works on US Telecom Verizon’s CDMA network, which can be an indicator that we may not see it soon in the country. It sells for $120 off contract, or roughly Php 5,400 when converted.
