For the longest time, ThinkPad’s are known to be bulky, unattractive but very durable and gets the job done. Lenovo changed everything with the ThinkPad X1 Carbon, the world’s lightest 14-inch business-class Ultrabook.
Seeing the ThinkPad X1 Carbon made me hate my current ThinkPad at the office which I always find every reason not to bring home because of its bulk. At just 2.99 lbs and 18.9mm thin, this notebook is definitely easy to carry around within or outside the office.
The lightness is made possible with its carbon fiber construction although it’s by no means a pansy when it comes to durability. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon passed eight US military test for durability including low pressure, humidity, vibration, high and low temperature, temp shock, dust and physical shock. This notebook has all the hardware construction inside to protect your data.
Configuration for the Thinkpad X1 Carbon comes with 3rd Gen Intel Core Processors with vPro technology for added security, SSD drives coupled with Lenovo’s Enhanced Experience 3.0 for really fast boot and wake up times. You can also have it equipped with 3G mobile broadband and hotspot if you mostly work outside the office.
The 14-inch screen has a Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution with a 400 nits brightness. It is protected by a Gorilla Glass panel and you can even tilt it up to a flat 180 degrees.
You’ll also get a backlit keyboard with Lenovo’s comfortable concave keys and that familiar ThinkPad trackpoint. The multi-gesture glass surface touchpad is almost the same as other ThinkPads but with flat click buttons which still has that right and natural feedback.
So how much should you mention to Finance in order to have one of these? The basic Core i5 configuration for the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon is at Php94,990 and comes with a 3-year on-site warranty which includes parts and labor and will be recognized even when you’re in other countries.
