Globe Telecom is set to launch its LTE service this month and they just unveiled their postpaid plans to go with it.
Globe’s 4G LTE service is available in two flavors, Tattoo Black 1799 for those who don’t need the full 42 Mbps speed (up to 28 Mbps only) and Tattoo Black Elite 2499 who wants the full LTE experience.
Here’s what each plan entails:
Tattoo Black Plan 1799
- free USB dongle (SuperStick upgrade option for P150/month)
- speeds of up to 28 Mbps
- dedicated hotline
- priority handling in stores
- discounts at partner establishments
- nationwide concierge assistance
Tattoo Black Elite 2499
- free USB dongle
- speeds of up to 42 Mbps
- dedicated hotline
- priority handling in stores
- personal relationship manager to handle all the Tattoo Black customer needs
- complimentary tickets to Tattoo parties
- MIASCOR Lounge Access Extension Card
- credit limit extension
- priority reservation on Globe handset and tablet devices
It’s clear that Globe is aiming to deliver that full customer satisfactory experience with these plans. Also, their plan is priced relatively lower than its competitor Smart, who was the first to launch their LTE service in the country at Plan 3500 with a 10GB cap. Giving subscribers options is also a good thing for Globe who recognized that 42 Mbps can be too much for some people.
It’s still unclear whether there will be a data cap for Globe’s LTE Plans or if it’s going to be unlimited for a limited period like Smart. Or if it will throttle down to HSPA+ speeds once a cap has been reached but will keep you updated as we hear from Globe.
No list of Globe LTE locations from have been revealed yet but according to their LTE announcement a few weeks ago, Makati City will be the first to experience Globe’s ultra-high speed offering.
