Well, not literally, anyway. After introducing the ThinQ line of products, LG moves on to connecting these Alexa-powered appliances, in time for CES 2018, starting with the LG InstaView ThinQ fridge.
The InstaView ThinQ fridge sports a 29-inch touchscreen and webOS platform, making it able to integrate with other smart appliances. Complete with voice control functions, this ‘talking’ fridge can perform tasks like suggesting recipes based on what’s inside it or, send these recipes directly to your Alexa-supported oven. Of course, the LG fridge offers more than just these innovations, but an interesting thing to note overall.
Other LG ThinQ appliances include the EasyClean oven which preheats automatically to prepare for a recipe. Meanwhile, the QuadWash dishwasher will set its next cycle based on what will get cooked on that day. For example, if you’re going to eat something greasy, the dishwasher will know what to do. As expected, these smart devices also allow for voice controls. Plus, the CLOi Hub Botkeeps track of your appliances’ tasks.
No prices revealed as of now, though. But, it’s obvious that LG wants you to buy their entire set instead of buying single units of their smart home products.
