The bang-for-the-buck smartphone competition is getting more intense this summer as Alcatel is set to release its newest smartphone, the Flash Plus, on May 1, bringing in a sub-Php7k price tag.
Equipped with a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with OGS and Dragontail glass, 2GB RAM, Dual LTE, and a 3500mAh battery, the impending arrival of Alcatel’s newest smartphone may be a threat to other bang-for-the-buck smartphones in the market.
The Flash Plus currently has Android KitKat out of the box, but is said to be upgradeable to Lollipop with an update arriving in a month or two.

The expected price for the said device? According to information pried by YugaTech, Alcatel representatives pegged the smartphone to sport a Php6,990 price tag and is set to be released at the local market on May 1.
