Yahoo! Messenger recently announced that it can downloaded from iTunes and users can enjoy chatting, voice call and all of the others features that is available from the usual YM features. If you have the iPad 2, you can also do video chat as well.
Yahoo! Messenger did not stop from re-inventing their apps, first we reported that you can integrate Facebook chat from your YM. Check our post here. Now, since iPad has become a common mobile device, they made their instant messaging app available to complete your YM experience.

any idea if it will work both 3G/wifi?

nope. it was only for the ipod touch and iphone before. now its optimized for the bigger screen.
Technically all iPod touch/iPhone apps are available to the iPad as well. You can browse, buy and download iPhone apps in your iPad through its ‘App Store’ app. In fact, Yahoo! Messenger was one of the first apps I installed when I got my original iPad last year. It was just updated to be a ‘universal app’ which means its now optimized to run on both the iPhone/Ipod touch and iPad.

the mic and earphones are not working for ipad 2. they still have to fix this technical bug
