Pinoy Sony Ericsson fans who have been anticipating the release of SE’s latest and highly awaited smartphone might be dismayed with the official final price of the Xperia X1 when it becomes available tomorrow. The Xperia X1 would carry a whooping Php 42,500 price tag (that’s around $889.95). The said price tag is almost the same as the price of the Xperia X1 in other international markets where the smartphone will be sold without a telco tie-up.
If you’re still reading this post up to here, chances are you don’t mind the price tag and you are really interested with this smartphone. But I won’t give you a full review here as I don’t have the Xperia X1 right now. In fact, I might just cancel my pre-order which incidentally was supposed to be released today. Unfortunately, the email from SE Philippines arrived just now. And they gave me a deadline to get it only until today.
Anyway, tomorrow, the Xperia X1 will be out at various Sony Ericsson Philippines distributor. Go ahead, close your eyes and take the plunge SE fanboys. As for me? I’m still happy with my iPhone 3G which incidentally had a lower introductory price when it came out a couple of months ago under Globe telecoms.
Is the Xperia X1 worth the price you have to pay for it? It depends on what phone you have right now, and of course it ultimately depends on whether you have the budget. If you’re still considering this phone as your net mobile phone purchase, then you might as well read a comprehensive review of the Xperia X1 here.
