Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Note 8 and its Pro variant in the country.
Both devices sport quad-camera setups at the back and MIUI 10 based on Android 9 with an impending MIUI 11 upgrade. Also, both feature Corning Gorilla Glass protection on their displays and up to 128GB of internal storage.
The new Redmi note phone possesses incremental changes in both design and hardware from the much-clamored Redmi Note 7. It possesses a 6.3-inch display with a Full HD+ resolution, a Snapdragon 665 chip, and up to 4GB of RAM. It now sports a quad-camera setup consisting of a 48-megapixel lens, an 8-megapixel shooter, and two 2-megapixel lenses.

Meanwhile, the Pro variant features a beefier 6GB of RAM, a bigger 6.5-inch display size, and a larger battery capacity. A 20-megapixel selfie camera is also present in the device. A larger 4500mAh battery is expected to provide more than a day’s worth of power. It also sports a MediaTek G90T processor, which is said to be better for gaming experiences.

The phones will be available at Mi Authorized Stores and Kiosks, authorized dealers, and online via Lazada starting October 12.
