Xiaomi has taken the wraps off the Mi Watch, its first Xiaomi-branded smartwatch.
This new wearable takes cues from the Apple Watch as it features a curved top display, a ceramic back cover, an aluminum alloy frame, and a digital crown. Its almost-2 inch square AMOLED screen has a 326ppi density and sports a Qualcomm wearable chip, along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
Apart from that, all the things you need in a wearable are here — activity tracking, oxygen saturation, heart rate monitor, eSIM, and GPS are all in the watch. A 560mAh battery is said to last up to 36 hours on a single charge.
The device runs on Xiaomi’s MIUI built for wearables, based on Google’s Android WearOS. Two versions will be available in China starting November 11: a Standard Edition with a rubber band for CNY 1,299 (~Php 9,400) while a Premium Edition with a stainless steel band goes on sale for CNY 1,999 (~Php 15,500).
