In one of the recent posts on its official Facebook page, Vivo Mobile has announced its entry in the local market. As a form of testing the waters, Vivo Philippines brought with them their first product offering in the Philippines, the Vivo Y51.
In case you’re wondering who this new company is, Vivo Electronics is a tech company headquartered in Guangdong, China. This is the company behind some of the groundbreaking smartphones such as the X1 and X3S, which once held the title as slimmest smartphone in the world during their respective launches.
Vivo is also the first company to come out with the first smartphone with a Quad HD display, the Vivo Xplay3S, back in 2013. In more recent times, we featured the company’s latest flagship smartphone, the Vivo Xplay5 Elite, which also happens to be the first smartphone with 6GB of RAM.
Fast forward to today, the Chinese company decided to enter the local scene with the launch of the Vivo Y51 in the Philippines. This mid-range smartphone sports a 5-inch display and is powered by Snapdragon 410 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage that can be further expanded through a microSD card.
