Spotted last week the latest netbook from Toshiba, the NB305. Gone is the chunky form and protruding battery of the Toshiba NB200. The Toshiba NB305 sports the new Intel Atom N450 in a stylish, compact (1.43-inch thin) and lightweight body.
I like the textured lid of the NB305 as well as the polished aluminum full-size keyboard and palm rest. It also features a hard drive impact sensor that Toshiba claims can protect your data from accidental drops.
With the new Intel Atom N450, the NB305 can go for up to 11 hours on a single battery charge although I would give it around 9 hours in real-world application which is still quite impressive.
Specs:
- 10.1″ WSVGA LED-backlit display (1024×600)
- Intel Atom N450 (1.66GHz)
- Windows 7 Starter
- 1GB DDR2 800MHz
- 250GB HDD with shock absorbers
- Bluetooth, Wireless-N and built-in webcam
The NB305 is priced at P27,990 and comes in Cosmic Black, Scarlet Red, Mocha Brown and Indigo Blue.
If you’re the budget-conscious type, go for the NB300 for P22,990 which has the same specs sans Bluetooth and is only available in Cosmic Black.
