FIS, the leading financial technology provider in the world, opens a new service center here in Manila. The inaugural event of this expansion yesterday was graced by none other than Her Excellency, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
FIS has been providing banking and payments technologies in the country for over 20 years with six of the top ten banks in the Philippines as clients. Globally, they are the leading provider of core banking solutions having processing and technology relationship with 40 of the top 50 global banks.
With the launch of their new service center in Manila, clients all over the world (including Philippines) will now have access to global delivery capabilities, such as call center, back office processing and data center services to stay competitive in their marketplace.
“œFIS believes there is great opportunity for the BPO industry and we are excited about the marketplace in the Philippines,” said Ram Chary, executive vice president of FIS’ Global Commercial Services division. “œFIS’ strategy is to continue to build upon our past success in this business in the U.S., India and Brazil and actively participate in the economic development of the region by adding more jobs in the Philippines.”
The new FIS office is located at the 9th Floor of Ecoplaza at 2305 Chino Roces Ave. Extension, Makati. Currently, there are 150 employees at this office but the company expects to increase it to about 1,000 in the next 18 months.
