Oppo closed 2016 on a good note. Their flagship selfie phone, the Oppo F1s was the best selling smartphone in the country. That is according to GfK, a global market research expert. They moved up from their number 2 spot in July, thanks to the selfie-centered F1 series.

As OPPO Philippines Brand Marketing Manager Stephen Cheng said, they push the brand further by creating products consumers can trust. “With the success of the F1s, we are confident that we’ve come up with a camera phone that addressed the need for better selfies as well as overall smartphone performance.” Cheng Said.
The Oppo F1s made up for 7.1 and 6.4 percent of total smartphone units sold in November and December 2016 respectively. That is across all price segments based on GfK data. The Oppo Neo 7 made it to the top ten list at number 4 and the Oppo A37 made it at number 10.
A Reputaion of Innovation
With OPPO working on innovating the mobile photography game, the F1s is the firt smartphone to have a 16MP Frant camera. More innovations came in the of OPPO’s motorized rotating camera, Ultra HD, and the game changing 5x Dual Camera Zoom. Showcased at the 2015 Mobile World Congress, it is the world’s first periscopic smartphone camera lens.
To add more to that list, OPPO also introduced the wide angle 120 degree secondary front camera. This feature found in the F3 series lets users go from normal selfie to group selfies with out the need for a selfie stick.
