The highly-anticipated “endless run” game being played in the iOS has finally landed in the Android Market, or should we say in Google Play.
Temple Run from Imangi Studios is a game where the object of the game is to run, get coins, run some more, avoid obstacles, run some more, away from the black alien monkeys chasing you. So why is it a hit among iOS users? Well it’s a nice pick and play game and trying to best your farthest distance and rubbing your high score to friends over Facebook is motivation enough.
And now Android users can join in the fun as well. What’s missing here is something like iOS’ GameCenter which also acts as a leaderboard for the game.
Anybody tried it already? How was the experience? I tried the game on my HTC Sensation and I find the tilt to change lane smoother than in iOS although I often end up losing because of frame stuttering on my phone.

Works great on my xperia mini pro. Though it feels different on a 3″ screen compared to my sister’s iPad
Also, I’m sometimes getting unresponsiveness but I think that’s because the game just got on android.
True! BTW, I heard that the Galaxy Y which also has a 3″ screen but a 240×320 resolution cannot run the game. Yay to Xperia mini pro and its 320×480 reso!
Yeah it does not work on Galaxy Y. My little brother is so upset when I told him the bad news. 😀
It’s not compatible with Samsung Galaxy Ace. 🙁
oh really? hmmm so resolution is not the only factor since it can run on the xperia mini pro.
It runs smoothly on Xperia Neo although I haven’t played the higher levels but let’s see..
i dunno if its just me, but i think the game is a little bit faster on android compare to ios? im having a hard time playing it on my phone compared to my friends ipod.
what i mean is the runner, runs faster =))
yeah same here… parang mabilis syang bumilis. can’t get my usual scores in the ipod.
Not compatible on LG Optimus One.
Works in HTC Desire S… smooth tilt response… that takes a while to respond in iOS.. that is why you tilt it so hard together with your head… i don’t know if it is too fast… but when I jump over fire, in iOS i can jump over it… but in android i got burned… i dont know if it that is an example of being too fast…
yap kailangan mas malayo bwelo ng talon pag sa android, pansin ko dn pre.
Not compatible on LG Optimus One, but someone ported it on the device, and it is laggy as hell. Sucks. 😀
Works perfectly on my Galaxy Tab 8.9.
Kinda pixelly on my Note. Very addictive though 🙂
i’m already having fun reading your comments…hehehe…i’ll try this after i upgrade my sensation xe to “ICS” TONIGHT…yep, ICS on HTC Sensation XE now available!
thanks for the heads up master pogi! updating my sensation now!
you are most welcome…and i’ll be expecting your review of it. 🙂
It is so fast and responsive on my Asus Transformer TF101 as if it is bulit for it! I am hooked! No problem at all! The only game that got me hooked!
