Microsoft recently began testing for a Microsoft Xbox party chat feature for the company’s Xbox mobile apps on iOS and Android.
Right now though, a select few get a chance to join the beta Xbox party chat app for Android, available via sign-up. As mentioned, one of the usable features include the party chat support. In addition, iOS will also offer the same beta, with a sign-up using Microsoft’s form.
Specifically, party chat within the Xbox app allows for voice chat with friends on Xbox Live. It will work similarly to the Discord mobile app. Overall, this feature works best for gamers not near their console or PC. Also, it seems like a perfect backup if the Xbox One-compatible headset doesn’t work. As a regular trend, Microsoft usually makes official releases of their beta features within a few months. Thus, expect an update to the beta soon.
