Earlier today at the Glorietta Activity Center, Sony officially announced that the PlayStation is officially available in the Philippine market. Yep, despite thousands of Filipinos owning a PlayStation more than a decade ago, it is only just now that Sony brings it officially here in our country.
There will be a weekend-long fun and activities at the Glorietta Activity Center so PS fans should better flock there today or tomorrow to try out different PS3 games, join PS3 and PSP competitions and win cool prizes including a PS3 from Sony PlayStation. There will also be a COSPLAY fashion show during the event so better check that out or even yet, come in your COSPLAY attire. Click here for more info about the event.
Now that the PlayStation is finally here, what does that exactly mean for the fans? Well if you buy official PlayStation products from Sony shops nationwide, you will get a one-year warranty included in your purchase. Something that imported PlayStations can’t have.
Unfortunately, PlayStation Network for Philippines is still in the works so you might want to hold onto that thought for a bit. PSP Go is still a no-go yet here. Only the PS3 and PSP were officially launched today.
