Following its rebrand, new logo, and launching of the SmartLife app last month, Smart has introduced more digital services in order to bring the classic company into the modern era of telecommunications.
With the idea of digital inclusion at the forefront, Smart introduced its new Smartphone Prepaid Kit at only Php 1,288, making sure that even more Filipinos can adopt a digital lifestyle through a smartphone that can connect to the Internet through mobile data. For those with multiple gadgets, Smart is also offering the Smart Bro Pocket WiFi, for only Php 888.
Smart also announced its Super Speed LTE SIMs as well as Giga Surf 50, its biggest data offer yet with 1GB data for surfing and apps, plus another free 300MB exclusively for video streaming on YouTube and iflix, valid for three days at the low price of Php 50. It is also important to note that this 1GB data can be shared with other Smart prepaid subscribers through the brand’s Pasadata service.
When it comes to its customer service, on the other hand, Smart and Twitter have come together to introduce @SMARTCares, which features live feedback and a faster response system. This makes Smart the first brand in the Philippines to use Twitter as its main Customer Service outlet for customer care needs and account inquiries in real-time.
Smart is also jump-starting Marty the Smarty, a hip, fresh information source and guide for all kinds of questions and concerns about mobile data and the Internet, accessible through the website www.martythesmarty.com and the Twitter account @martysmarty. Marty the Smarty is Smart’s attempt to introduce complicated telecommunications, internet, and data concepts to the everyday consumer through a constantly updated blog, a website, and social media feeds.
Smart also further enhanced its My Smart mobile app in order for prepaid and postpaid subscribers to manage their accounts anytime, anyday, anywhere. It is currently downloadable on Google Play Store and iTunes, and it allows subscribers to register and check the status of promos, load up their account and even redeem perks.
Additionally, Smart unveiled its “Own It” campaign, a platform that encourages everyone, especially the youth, to share their passions with the world at large, giving them a voice that expresses their uniqueness.
Under this campaign, Smart and Youtube open Smart Launchpad, a program to help new content creators instantly find a new audience via Upload Stations all over the country. Smart will also be working with online content experts for workshops that will culminate in a selection of the most deserving content creators to fly to LA for a once-in-a-lifetime experience of collaborating with the biggest YouTube Stars.
And finally, for Smart users and subscribers looking for a cool event to spent their Thursday evening, Smart presents Smart Music Live! on July 14 in a free-for-subscribers concert featuring Ely Buendia, Up Dharma Down and Nathan Sykes at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Smart Music Live will also feature perks and meet and greet events for upcoming concerts of hit international artists like Selena Gomez on July 31; In the Mix featuring Third Eye Blind, Panic!
