We’re seeing storage items like memory cards and flash drives shrinking a lot down in size and gaining a lot more capacity these past few years, and portable hard drives are not left out in terms of innovation. Proof? Samsung’s new P3 external 2.5-inch HDD, which the cmpany touts as the “world’s thinnest and lightest” 4TB portable hard disk drive, packs a whooping 4TB of storage space in a very compact size, measuring only 19.85 mm in height and weighs 236 grams. This is certainly a feat for this huge of a storage space has been attained in rather big, bulky iterations.
Unlike other dense EHDDs, the P3 only require a single USB cord to power itself and transfer data. Prices have not been announced for the P3 along with its other variants in different capacities, but Samsung says it will start to roll out starting later this month.
