Aside from the Samsung Gear Fit, Samsung has also introduced its second iteration of the Samsung Gear, the Samsung Gear 2 and the Samsung Gear 2 Neo.
The Samsung Gear 2 wearable devices have the same features as the Gear Fit and more. Unlike the Gear Fit, the 1.6″ Super AMOLED, 1 GHz Dual Core Samsung Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo can make and take phone calls, receive notifications and get calendar alerts and alarms.
The Samsung Gear 2 has voice memo feature and can be used as a standalone MP3 Player via its 4G internal storage Bluetooth. It can also be used as a TV remote control.
A main difference between the two is the 2MP AF camera on the Samsung Gear 2 (which missing on the Gear 2 Neo).
The Samsung Gear 2 devices uses 22mm watch strap and is compatible with most 22mm watch straps in the market.
The Samsung Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo are available in Black, Brown, Orange and Mocha Gray.
All the newly introduced Samsung wearable devices are IP67 water and dust resistant.
The Samsung Gear 2 has an SRP of Php 13,490 while the Gear Neo is priced at Php 8,990. Both will be available starting April 12, 2014.
