Following the Samsung Galaxy A8+ announcement earlier this month, the company launched the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime in India today. Available exclusively on Amazon.in and Samsung stores, the device will begin selling come January 20.
Prior to its launch, Samsung has already teased the On7 Prime and its specs to users. Among these features, the Samsung Mall feature stands out the most. This allows users to take a photo of a product in real-time or select an image from their gallery, and look it up online. Through visual information, it also searches multiple shopping platforms to find similar products. Through Samsung Mall, users thus have a Universal Cart, from which they can buy products across websites. In retrospect, Samsung Mall serves as a unified platform for online shopping.
Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime: the bells and whistles
The Galaxy On7 Prime comes with a 5.5 FHD PLS TFT LCD display at 1080×1920 pixels and boasts 13MP CMOS f/1.9 front and rear cameras. The only difference would be the absence of the autofocus feature for the front-facing sensor.
Powered with a 1.6 GHz Exynos 7870 octa-core chipset and either 3 or 4Gb RAM the On7 Prime touts a 3300mAh battery. Out of the box, it runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat-based Samsung Experience 8.5 UI.
Available in two storage variants depending on the RAM, the On7 Prime will come in either 3/32 Gb or 4/G4 Gb models. Both come with support for a 256Gb expandable storage via a microSD slot.
