The Philippines’ tech start-up companies can now expand their presence and introduce their offerings to different markets through ConnectTechAsia, a mega technology event to be unveiled this June in Singapore.
Happening on June 26 to June 28, the country will have 10 local firms, seven of them are start-ups, presenting to the region their latest technologies, solutions, and services.
A 2017 report from ABO Innovation Hub and PwC Philippines showed that around 61 percent of the 106 CEOs of start-ups polled said they plan to venture into foreign markets.
This survey drives the event to provide an avenue for technology-related start-ups to penetrate regional and international scene with industry players from the telecoms, media and technology industries.
Participating Philippine start-ups include HYBrain, Kollab Guru Group Inc., MediAid, MobileOptima Inc., Payruler, Rumarocket Limited Incorporated, and Snapcart who will be showcasing their latest offerings in software development, platform adoption, digital marketing, human resource management systems, talent sourcing, and data acquisition and analytics.
They are also joined by outsourcing firms Advance World Solutions, Magellan Solutions and Titanium Technologies.
“The Philippine government recognizes the impact of new and emerging technologies in today’s business models and in the way companies operate and communicate with customers. We are excited to bring forth the Philippine delegation to ConnecTechAsia 2018, which will allow them to showcase local innovations that highlight the country’s efforts to move towards becoming a world-class digital economy in the future,” said DICT Undersecretary Monchito Ibrahim.
Expected at the event are executives from Alibaba, Google Cloud, Discovery Inc. Netflix, Verimatrix, iFlix, among others.
