OPPO Find X available in the Philippines starting August 11

Amid much fanfare, OPPO finally revealed its latest addition to the premium Find series, the OPPO Find X. Featuring an advanced all-glass front and back design, and hidden front and back cameras, the OPPO Find X looks to slug it out with top flagship smartphones from known brands such as the iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy S9. Below, we’ve listed down five things you need to know about the OPPO Find X.

1) Panoramic Display, Notch-less Design

The OPPO Find X surprisingly ditched the notch and went all in with an all-screen 3D glass front and back display, with no visible cut-outs. While the space under smartphones’ displays are necessary to house the screen controller, OPPO managed to limit its (bottom) bezel to just 3.4mm. This makes up for the super thin 1.65mm side bezels and 1.91mm top bezel, providing a 93.8% visual screen ratio on the Find X.

2) AI-Enhanced, Stealth 3D Cameras

The OPPO Find X is packed with a pop-up 25MP front camera and 16MP+20MP dual rear camera both equipped with advanced AI. Its 25MP front-facing camera has 3D, AI-Selfie features which allows users to choose from pre-set light modes for a more 3 dimensional and naturally-lit selfies. The Find X’s selfie camera also feature 3D Omojis that can be exported and used in chats.

The OPPO Find X’s rear dual camera setup composed of 16MP+20MP cameras is equipped with optical anti-vibration delivering more stable photos even at night or in low light. Moreover, its AI-Scene recognition is able to intelligently identify scenes and objects from 21 different scenarios, such as when shooting sunsets or taking food shots.

The rear cameras are also able to take professional-quality portraits with its AI Portrait mode which includes bokeh and professional lighting effects.

3) O-Face Recognition and ColorOS 5.1

The Find X introduces a new facial unlocking and security feature called the O-Face Recognition, which OPPO claims to be 20x more secure than the fingerprint technology. OPPO is also in the works with Alibaba for the use of O-Face in payment and other daily transactions.

Runing on ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1, the OPPO Find X features the latest Google apps and an enhanced voice assistant among others. An AI Algorithm in the OS also learns its user’s habits and remembers the most commonly used apps, pre-loading and speeding up the smartphone’s boot up process by up to 44%.

4) Power-packed, AI processor

A combination of an AI-powered Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM allows the OPPO Find X to provide 30% faster graphics processing, superior image quality, beyond Gigabit LTE speeds, and up to 3x AI performance than its predecessors. The Find X’s VOOC Flash Charge moreover can offer 2 hours talk time in just five minutes of charging the device.

5) Lamborghini Find X Automobili Lamborghini Edition

OPPO has also partnered with Lamborghini for a limited edition of the Find X. The OPPO Find X Automobili Lamborghini Edition features a carbon fiber-textured look under the glass cover and engraved Lamborghini logo, with suspended 3D effects, noticeable in all angles. The special edition Find X also features a Super VOOC, equipped with 10V 5A specs and max charging voltage of 50 W that can fully charge the smartphone in just 35 minutes.

Available in Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue variants, the OPPO Find X retails for 999 Euro or around Php 61,656 and will hit the store shelves starting August.
