One of the new Nokia smartphones announced at Nokia World yesterday, the Nokia C6-01, will probably make current Nokia C6 owners wished they should have waited for this upgraded and in my opinion, better version. It doesn’t have a sliding QWERTY keyboard but it may not matter to some people.
The Nokia C6-01 is still geared toward social networking and mobile entertainment. But instead of the S60 OS, this version runs on the newer Symbian ^3. And who needs a physical keyboard if the 3.2″ display is now capacitive instead of resistive? Not to mention that it has the Nokia ClearBlack technology for improved outdoor visibility.
According to Nokia World, the Nokia C6-01 will be available late this year. No word yet on the local price and release date but at 260 Euros excluding tax, we could expect it to be around the Php17,000 price range.
