Xiaomi has just unveiled the Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus. Both phones offer state-of-the-art internals through the Snapdragon 821. Even more impressive is that the Plus variant gets an unheard of 6GB of RAM, and dual 13MP cameras at the back. This Chinese-made powerhouse will get color variants of Gold, Rose Gold, Silver, and White. While a world release is still in the works, the Mi 5s line will be on sale in China this coming Thursday.
In a move not unlike the Huawei P9, the Mi 5s Plus touts 13-megapixel cameras on both the front and the rear. One of the cameras has asensor shooting in full color and the other being a dedicated monochrome sensor. The design itself looks similar to the original Mi 5, but with a metallic chassis. Both phones also offer an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that’s placed underneath the home button.
The Mi 5s with 3GB of RAM and 64GB storage retails for USD 300 (PHP 14,506). Meanwhile, the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant will get a USD 345 (PHP 16,682) price tag. Also, the 5s Plus with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage launches at USD 345 (PHP 16,682). Finally, the model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage will be priced at USD 390 (PHP 18,858).
