IBM recently announced its commitment to train two million learners in Artificial Intelligence until the end of 2026, focusing on underrepresented communities.
The company is collaborating with universities all around the world in order to expand AI education. They have also launched new generative AI coursework through IBM SkillsBuild to further offer better access to AI education.
As said, IBM is collaborating with universities globally, which means university faculty will get to have access to IBM-led training like lectures and skilling experiences, which come with certificates once completed. They will also give courseware to use, self-directed AI learning paths, and resources needed such as free, online courses on generative AI and Red Hat open-source technologies.
IBM SkillsBuild already offers free coursework in AI fundamentals, chatbots, and hard topics like AI ethics, helping learners all over the world have the benefit of learning more about AI education, developed by IBM experts to give progressive technology developments.
With that said, the courses are all free and available to learners around the world, with participants earning IBM-branded digital credentials recognized by potential employers with the completion of the course. Through this new effort, IBM hopes to skill 30 million people by 2030 and solve the needs of today’s workforce.
