FedEx Express recently released a mobile app for iPhone and BlackBerry users to help its customers track, get rates and transit times, schedule a pick-up and find FedEx locations on the go.
With the boom of smartphone users in the past couple of years, FedEx will allow the increasing mobile customers to instantly access information about their FedEx shipments through their smart phones. No word yet for Android users but in the meantime, FedEx just enhanced their mobile websites where anyone with a Web-enabled phone or handheld device can use the FedEx Mobile website to:
- Track the status of a package and use My FedEx Tracking for additional shipment details
- Get a rate quote
- Schedule a pickup
- Find a nearby FedEx location
Really helpful for those who use FedEx a lot. Now they can have easy access to their shipments via their smartphone. The FedEx Mobile for iPhone and BlackBerry applications are available for free at fedex.com(http://www.fedex.com/ph/mobile/index.html). The FedEx Mobile website is at http://m.fedex.com. Now if only FedEx can help explain the insane fees Customs are charging on shipments from abroad.
