Smart has just announced the first of the Android One devices they will be carrying, the Cherry Mobile One. The first Android One in the country will be available for Smart Postpaid subscribers under the new Smart Plan 499.
We are still waiting for the exact date of the availability but consumers may now reserve their units in the Smart interest page www.smart.com.ph/androidone. Since the new Smart Plan 499 isn’t available yet, consumers may opt to sign up first for the Cherry Mobile One Android One smartphone under the All-In Plan 500.
Targeted at first time Android/smartphone users, Android One smartphones are cost-effective smartphones featuring an almost stock Android and can run the latest version of over 1 Million Android apps available on the Google Play Store. The Android One smartphones are designed to automatically get the newest Android OS version soon after it’s released, keeping the smartphone up to date even after a couple of years.
The first Android One smartphones, including the Cherry Mobile ONE is powered by MediaTek’s quad-core MT6582 Mobile SOC. Check out below for the specs of the Cherry Mobile ONE.
