The first four months of the year are now over, and we saw a lot of new smartphones being released left and right in the local market. With that being said, we listed down some of the best ones under six grand, in hopes that you can further explore your purchasing options and maybe snag a few of these.
We’re narrowing it down to those released, not just announced, in the period of January to April this year, and the devices are listed in descending order. Here we go!
Xiaomi’s new device off the budget Redmi line has got our attention for a lot of reasons for Php5,999– the solid construction build, the presence of Dual-LTE slots, and a great-looking HD display can definitely turn heads. Too bad that the variant released in the country has been reported by multiple websites to have LTE problems with Smart Communications, and we hope that it will be fixed soon.
Huawei Honor 3C Lite (Php5,290)
The most affordable Honor smartphone from Chinese tech giant Huawei has its own features to boot. It’s one of the most affordable smartphones with 16GB onboard storage to date, and features AirSharing and Huawei’s own Emotion UI.
MyPhone Uno (Php 4,599)
Google launched its Android One last February, and the top two local brands were tapped to distribute the products in the country. MyPhone’s version, the Uno, has an asymmetric back design with a cylindrical part present around its camera, and bears 4GB of internal storage and a five-megapixel camera.
Cherry Mobile One (Php 3,999)
Cherry Mobile also has a Google One device, and it’s a 4.5-inch smartphone simply called the One. Both the MP Uno and CM One share similar internal hardware, except for the fact that Cherry Mobile’s Google One device sports a larger internal storage at 8GB and is the cheapest Android Lollipop smartphone that’s out yet in the market.
SKK Mobile Lynx (Php 3,999)
Last on our list is one of the most affordable octa-core devices to hit the market yet. The SKK Mobile Lynx has so much to offer at a Php3,999 price point, including a 13-megapixel rear camera, software technologies including HotKnot, and a 2500mAh battery. Be ready to scavenge the whole metro for a unit, though, as availability is said to be really scarce.
That rounds up our list of best smartphones under Php6k so far this year. Do you think a better phone could have been here? Suggest a device down the comments section below.
